Flight Movie Review : Board at your own risk!
Screenwriter and director Suraj Josh’s "Flight" may sometimes remind you of Vikramadya Motwane (2017) because it largely falls into the category of "survival movies". But flying not only has a different storyline, but also belongs to a different genre. This is a thorough artist, although there is an unusual storyline and setting.
What Is the Story About?
Story: Adityaraj Aviationsis multi-millionaire Ranveer Malhotra (Mohit Chadha) is dealing with a large-scale public relations (PR) crisis, just as the business tycoon prepares for the Himalayas Responsible for his mistakes when he disappeared. "Flight" is about the cheap, low-quality aviation parts behind a well-planned scam that a company is providing to the industry, and how greed can get better human emotions.
Flying is about a billionaire (Mohit Chadha) who is caught in a public relations crisis.
An airplane made by his airline crashed, and the whole responsibility fell on his company. When he decided to become a good Samaritan and compensate the family who lost a loved one in the crash, he found himself at odds with the board of directors.
He decided to go to Dubai to get things done, and apologized to the public at the press conference. So, he took a charter flight, only to find that he was trapped in mid-air just to die.
Who is behind this attempt in his life?
Can he save himself?
Will he eventually expose the bad guys and let his company win in the eyes of the public?
First of all, Mohit Chadha did put his heart and soul into the movie. Not only as the co-producer and co-writer of the movie, but also as the leading actor.
When I saw the trailer for the first time, I was very interested in this idea.
After watching this movie, I think one of the main reasons not bad is Mohit Chadha.
He perfectly embodies the image of a spoiled kid who has inherited a $1 billion business and is now working hard to ensure that his father's values and morals are not downplayed.
Mohit flirted with the woman and came out to be the man who thought he was the handsomest person in the room. Want to be Harvey Spector, eh?
The plot of this movie will attract you a one-way line.
The person trapped in a flight without a pilot is a sure winner of a concept.
But Suraj Josh's unremarkable direction made flying boring.
Mohit was captured in the plane, but he didn't even panic.
He is very cool, can drink, play golf, record information for his girlfriend and so on.
He is waiting for the moment he can enter the cockpit and save his life by letting the flight do some unimaginable stunts.
Well, as an audience, even if you are waiting for the end of the first half, there is at least something thrilling in this movie.
A flight of AdityaRaj Airlines crashed and some passengers were killed. Ranwell now runs the company after succeeding his honest and idealistic father. He wants to provide a large amount of compensation to the families of the passengers who died. However, the board of directors, including the cunning Raman Khanna (Zakir Hussain) and Nathwani (Viveck Vaswani), disagreed with this view.
Ranveer was supported by Balraj Singh (Pawan Malhotra), an important member of the company and a close friend of his late father. However, it is unclear whether Ranveer is a positive character. He is a little mysterious. He took a private jet to Dubai. On the plane, he slept for a while. When he woke up, he was shocked to see the staff dead and things scattered here and there. He tried to contact the two pilots, but to no avail. Is this his end?
Except for an interesting storyline, the flight is backed by a fast-paced script and there are no dull moments. Of course, this is a basic requirement for movies intended for entertainment. Josh has always strictly controlled things and made sure that even if the movie seems escapist, it does not become blind.
Usually, thrillers tend to slow down a bit in the second half, but they won’t slow down "Flight." In fact, as Ranveer tried to resolve his crisis, the lawsuit became more thrilling. Without giving up any spoilers, it is enough to say that this story will continue in the second part of 2023, titled Flight 2.
Chadha easily experienced the different emotions of his character. He did well in moments of sudden humor, his subtle comic timing. Sometimes, you really want to know who would make a joke in such a super serious situation, but then it went well with the movie.
The experience of Pawan Malhotra is staged here, and he has experienced Ranveer's tension, sadness and uncertainty with faith.
Of course, this movie does have some creative freedom, especially in the scene of a small explosion on an airplane. You want to know why no one found the burning airplane during the long and difficult journey. We will not disclose whether the plane crashed. But flying movies certainly won't.
Popular character artists such as Pavan Malhotra, Zakir Hussain and Viveck Vaswani have been completely wasted, and they seem to have just agreed to the film.
Hibani Bedi, who is usually able to steal the scene even in one-minute performances, cannot do so due to the bland writing.
The performance of popular Rj and former Bigg Boss contestant Pritam Singh blinked. His character could have been brought back in the second half to make the plot more interesting.
Although the producer promised that this movie has been shot to a certain degree of real airplanes, but watching the movie, everything looks like it adds up in VFX.
Some explosion scenes and flight scenes have such bad VFX that it feels that the manufacturer wants to cut the budget.
Apart from all other flaws, this movie basically says that it will not listen to any laws of physics. Now I know that autopilot is a function used by pilots, but it is not a flight from India to Somalia to Abu Dhabi to Dubai!
In addition, if learning how to fly an airplane is so easy, as it has been shown in the movie, I believe the pilot training courses will not cost so much.
Mohit Chadha not only learned how to fly a plane, but even managed to do stunts with it in less than half an hour of flying experience!
Even if I try to ignore all of this as the freedom of the movie, how can I see an airplane flying in the air for nearly three or four hours with a huge hole on its surface?
Except for Mohit Chadha and a potentially great concept, flying has almost nothing worth seeing.
Comment: Ranveer Malhotra is calm and a bit of a movie, however, at the beginning, you are fascinated by his big role, because he takes a private jet, drops expensive alcohol, is a smooth-spoken businessman wearing sharp Suit. But after a while it became repetitive and annoying: He joked that everything was moving when the plane crash had just killed more than 70 people. This was a branch of a major fraud planned by his own employees. No, it's not funny at all, it's just insensitive and disappears from the seriousness of the plot. If this is the intention: we mean serious.
Needless to say, the god of death revolves around the protagonist who is obsessed with Bollywood movies-Shah Rukh's innocent charm and Amitab Bachchan's deep voice seem to resonate most with him-this gives the plot a certain direction. Development leaves little or no room to step on logic in any way, and even provide credibility to it in any way.
The veteran actor Zakir Hussain as Uncle Hana and Pawan Malhutra as Balaj, they do their best to add shades of gray to the film and instill elements of suspense, but they have a clumsy script in their hands. , The original impressive actors failed to make this film a delightful watch. Mohit Chadha is Mr. Malhutra here. Even if he performs well, there are many Srk influences that people cannot miss or ignore.
The background score of any action thriller is crucial to the progress of the plot, but in this case, Smritti Minoch’s music is too deafening and too dramatic to fit into an already bland story. .
The aviation industry is said to have systematically abused money and power in the "flying" circle that has always plagued it, but from the way this story is shaped to the way the manufacturer executes it on the screen, we should first say that it should not leave the runway.
