 Anushka Sharma is an Indian film actor and producer, mainly engaged in Hindi films. Anushka is one of the most popular and highest paid actresses in India. Anushka faced Shah Rukh Khan for the first time in "Rabne Bana Di Jodi" (2008), earning her a nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie Award.

Anushka was born in Ayodhya, and grew up in Bangalore with Ajay Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka holds an art degree from Mount Carmel College. She originally planned to pursue a career in modeling or journalism, but did not want to be an actor. After graduation, Sharma moved to Mumbai to continue her modeling career.
