 Zeetv’s daily soap opera Jamai Raja will therefore return with its second season Jamai 2.0 in Zee5. The show will start to air in India on February 26, 2021. The play is starring Ravi Dube, Nya Sharma and Achint Kuhl, and directed by Alambu M Singh and Shashank Shah. The plot of the show revolves around Sidas, played by Ravi Dube, who is seeking revenge from his mother-in-law.

What Is the Story About?

Ravi Dube and Niasharma are a popular screen couple. Their chemistry in the TV series "Jama Raja" made Indian TV audiences fascinated by their screens. In addition, the daily soap comes as a breath of fresh air. When other show hosts took advantage of the relationship between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, the producer of Jamai Raja brought the male character to the front and told the story from the perspective of the daughter-in-law. As an exception, TV shows dominated the Trp charts as early as 2015.

But does it need a sequel? Is it really necessary to honor the brand Jamal Raja? After watching the first two episodes of the original ZEE5 Jamai 2.0, I would say, no, I understand that there is so-called brand value, and there is no harm in restoring popular characters. However, you should not do this when you do not have any special offers. For me, the producer could have chosen a new title, just like then, I would start watching the show without expectation.

Jamai 2.0 is about Sidhaas (Ravi Dube) seeking revenge against Rohini (Nya Sharma)'s mother Durga Devi (DD) (Achinte Kaur) who owns a chain of nightclubs in the city For this, he uses Rohini. Why he seeks revenge is left to our imagination, at least in the first few episodes.

You might argue that there will be suspense in the thriller, and I can't expect to know everything about the first few episodes. But for a thriller that should make you obsessed from the beginning, build a world, and introduce you to the characters in that world, Jamai 2.0 leaves you only problems.

This show feels out of touch. You think the producer shoots different sequences and then compiles them together to make a plot. In terms of performance, Ravi Dube and Nya Sharma did not do anything they hadn't done before. Achint Kaur is also her usual self, wearing the same expression from start to finish. The background music is so forced, it affects the scene. For example, I don't understand why comic music plays in the background when police inspectors are investigating drug cases.

The first two episodes of Jamai 2.0 did not give me a reason to invest more time.

In this series, Sidhas's character is a mixture of emotion, love and rejuvenation, and is called the card joker. He works under Durga Devi (Durga Devi), and he is the next character in the story.

Durga Devi aka Dd is played by Achint Kaur, who owns a chain of nightclubs in the city. She is very keen and knows how to balance her personal and professional life. The most important part of her life is Nya Sharma played by her daughter Roshny, who is confused, lost, and looking for love.

The royal story centers on Pondy Cherry, showing the perspective of a daughter-in-law who wants to get revenge from DD who eventually becomes the boss. So, he took advantage of her daughter Roshni, but then fell in love with her, and then started a new journey of Jiamai 2.0.

The show looks beautiful and the dialogue is well written, while maintaining a balance between emotional moments and interesting scenes.

Jamai 2.0 captures more attention with each episode, because it gives the audience some curious elements and makes them look forward to the next episode. It shows excitement, love, charm and recovery. It implies that the digital spin-off is a bolder and more up-to-date version of the daily soap.
