About the movie

Dr. Apana and Dr. Rajiv Kapoor are psychiatrists, and they are so involved in restoring the mind of the whole world that they eventually neglected their teenage daughter Cookie. The rebellious and provocative Cookie left her parents and met a violent ending, turning her parents' lives upside down. But she returned home, ready to vent her life's resentment.

What Is the Story About?

Story: Born to the parents of a psychiatrist-Dr. Rajiev Kapoor (Ragiev Gupta) and Dr. Apana Kapoor (Reina Wadwa)-Cookie (Wibut Sharma) always felt that her folks put all their love and attention on her sister. The heat of nature, she rushed out of her home for a fateful night. What followed was a series of bizarre supernatural activities, coupled with meaningless drama.

Comment: Young, rich, rebellious, beautiful and bold... Cookies are your typical millennial, she just wants attention from her super busy parents (and huge pocket money). However, their relationship with her "little sister" has always been the fuse for this troubled teenager. She is full of revenge and has brought "sibling competition" to a whole new level.
The film begins with a strange (and poorly executed) emotional outburst, followed by some rapid succession. But what happens when people look around in the movie—whether Cookie has a mental health problem or she just has a figure seeking attention—this has always been a mystery—a strange policeman walked in and asked his worried parents. Introduce the concept of "confidence in the afterlife", and all other equally weird theories, which have no meaning.
Debutant Wibuti Sharma was injured in the movie, and how! Her work, whether as a distorted person and a ghost seeking revenge, is difficult to sit through: ridiculous background scores and visual effects will only make things worse. Rajiv Gupta, as the father of separation, maintains a way of expression throughout the film—not emotional at all. Rena Wadhwa, as a dramatic mother and daughter of the bitter soul of the "selector", was semi-decent in the first half, but lost control of herself in the second half: the behavior she possessed was unbelievable, not In a good way.

The script is directionless, and certain elements go against logic from this word, even by Bollywood horror standards. For example, after the father heard the news of his daughter's premature death, he did not shed a single tear. He chose to stay at home, while his boyfriend collected her body from the morgue.
The director tried to incorporate various human emotions in a half-baked story—child neglect, sibling rivalry, revenge, and what not—but its execution was inferior, and Indian horror films were notorious anyway. Of course, some people try to make some "hats" with "cookies", but Grim Reaper is a fusion of all other movies in this genre: predictable, until the credits roll.
Yes, this biscuit is broken, we must run to a safe place!

What’s different in Cookiees MX Player Season 1

Cookie is an unconventional, ill-fitting teenager whose behavior annoys her father. However, when he was released from prison, he wanted her to do the right thing, so after several other good ideas failed, he hired her as his driver. She eavesdropped on everything and soon discovered that her father was cheated by his old accomplice (Michael Gazo), and if he complained too much, he was in danger of being killed.

Knowing these facts, there are no surprises in this movie. This is the fourth recent movie about Italian-American family life and the mafia, and it is also the least successful. After the rich details in "Married the Thug", "The Wise" and "Bensonhurst's Spike", this surprise is the least. It's all plot and behavior, lack of juice.

Now there is a visual landscape, we are looking for these mafia comedies, a landscape painted in our imagination of the movies of Coppola, Scorsese and De Palma. We know big cars and mafia restaurants, expensive suits and urban wasteland and industrial parking lots where illegal meetings are held. We know that the interiors of these houses will be very ornately decorated, and these women will look like wardrobes bought in a clothing store in an Atlantic City hotel.

All these things are just atmosphere, but in "Cookie", it is very important, because the character does not seem to vibrate with their own lives. They all seem to be serving the conspiracy.

(If you want to see Italian Americans full of life and play convincingly, check out the new movie "True Love". It’s not that the acting is bad, it’s just that they write very thinly. Falk gave us a version He has been playing for many years without major changes. Lloyd, as his daughter, lacks absolute originality. She brought her movie premiere "Hope You Are Here", but that's because of her Forced to enter a movie teenager mold, instead of having a real original character write for her. We can almost predict the trajectory of her character from the first few scenes.

The originality of the film comes from the two supporting actresses, West as the mistress and Vaccaro as the wife. Perhaps it’s because these characters are the closest to the hearts of director Susan Seidelman and screenwriters Nora Efron and Alice Allen, who are seen in more detail and given more quirks and ticks and Quirks.

West is particularly interesting because she tries to integrate the role of the mafia mistress into the profound values of the middle class in her character.

The last scene of the film is all the plots and events, which reveals how thin the protagonist’s writing is. Giveaways are when what happens in the story becomes more important than the personality of the character. By the last 20 minutes, Falk’s role was on the autopilot, and his daughter was planning a series of impossible surprises and coincidences. What actually happened seemed a little hazy, but the whole movie was hazy. We never think that filmmakers know their roles: they seem to have known them from the movies.
